The City of South Lyon celebrated our 150th anniversary in 2023.
Just because it's 2026 does not mean that we should stop celebrating our history. We invite the community to celebrate and join us for many events throughout 2026, including Depot Day, Christmas at the Village, summer concerts, monthly old car shows, and more!
Join Us At the Historical Village!
Experience local preserved history at the South Lyon Historical Village, a gem in the South Lyon community. Created in 1976 by the South Lyon Historical Society, the Historical Village serves as a focal point for the South Lyon area community.
On Sunday afternoons May through October, the historical village is open to the public and for self tours and guided tours.
Our regular monthly meeting is held every month on the second Wednesday at 6:00 PM in the Historic Village Freight House. Members and prospective members are invited to attend.
